Did anyone play Creatures?!
Man, I want to play it so badly.
Basically, it’s like the sims but with weird little creatures that hatched from eggs and you explored their worlds and made shit and ate fruit.
And there were evil ugly creatures that made you sick.
THIS WAS ESSENTIALLY MY CHILDHOOD
and you had to teach them to eat and they were so catastrophically stupid it was hilarious. them were the days.
Those massively exaggerated happy faces were the worst. Also, when you would occasionally get one that was an idiot even by Norn standards and it would just lie there and refuse to do anything until it starved to death, no matter how much you tried to tempt it with morsels of cheese or tomatoes or whatever other crazy things they ate. And writing those heart-wrenching epitaphs on their gravestones. Plus that time when we had one who actually had two brain cells to rub together so we took it exploring and ended up doing some weird genetic experiment which turned it into something which made Frankenstein’s monster seem pretty aesthetically pleasing by comparison.
And don’t even get me started on trying to get those things to breed. I will never get those wasted hours of my life back.
